Care Philosophy:
"I believe every patient has unique goals. My role is to help people not only recover and maximize their functional potential but also return to the activities that bring them joy and independence."
Melissa became inspired to join the medical field at a very early age, driven by her desire to help people. Around age 13, when diagnosed with severe scoliosis, she felt a strong desire to learn more about how to manage her condition, become passionate about health and nutrition, and decided to become a Physical Therapist.
Outside the clinic, Melissa enjoys a daily fitness routine, health and wellness research, volunteering for church activities, listening to music, hiking, and spending time with family and pets.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS)
- Member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
- Graduated 2019 American International College (AIC)
A born and raised Long Islander! I graduated from the American International College (AIC) Doctor of Physical Therapy. Throughout my time at AIC I played four years of NCAA Division II Collegiate Women's Lacrosse. I also completed my 16-month residency at the Physical Therapy Residency Program in Pittsburgh, PA. It was during this time I recognized my passion for helping my older adult clients. For this reason, I earned my Geriatric Clinical Specialist certification (GCS) from the (APTA). Ultimately, I love helping people of all ages from young athletes to my geriatric clientele have a better quality of life. As a Local and former patient of Dr. Wallman I can't wait to jump into the community and start giving back. We have come together to make sure our patients get the best care we can possibly provide. On my personal time nothing makes me happier than spending time with my Family, and it would be no surprise to see me having an authentic Italian meal or running around with my Dog Murphy!
